Roku Gin is the first of its kind, originating from Japan’s legendary Suntory – Roku Gin. This expression of gin is made using a selection of botanicals, including six Japanese botanicals that provide a whistle-stop tour of the four seasons. Traditional gin botanicals also featured include the likes of juniper, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander and cinnamon, among others.
Tasting notes:
Nose: Cherry blossom and green tea provide a floral and sweet aroma.
Palate: Complex, multi-layered, yet harmonious flavour of various botanicals. Traditional gin taste in the base, plus characteristic Japanese botanical notes with yuzu as the top note. Smooth and silky texture.
Finish: The crisp Japanese sansho pepper brings a little spiciness to the finish.
