Planted in 1944 by Laurent’s grandfather in a soil made up of 50cm clay on top of a gravel bed. Bottled in July. Perfect Aligoté nose, and indeed on the palate but ripe. Perhaps a bit fleshy behind, and a little lemon meringue . A tiny bit confected to finish, but really nice even if not quite the tension.
Tasting notes:
Bourgogne Aligoté is a white wine that is produced in the Burgundy region of France. It is made from the Aligoté grape, which is known for its high acidity and citrusy flavors. Hubert Lignier’s ‘Aux Poirelots’ offers a great balance of fruit, acidity, and minerality. It has aromas of green apple, citrus, and mineral notes, and flavors of lemon, lime, and white peaChateau The body is a light to medium with a refreshing acidity, making it a perfect wine for a summer day or paired with lighter foods.
