Chateau Maucaillou, Moulis 2012

Chateau Maucaillou is named after the cadastral designation of the land on which it was built in 1875. The vineyard is part of one of the oldest vineyards in the Medoc. Traces can be found in various degrees in the 15th and 16th centuries. It occupies a privileged position between Margaux and Saint-Julien, in the commune of Moulis, exactly in the geographical center of the Haut-Médoc.

Tasting notes:
Deep and saturated looking; earthy blackcurrant tones; some spice; good solid aromatic profile; attractive fruit on the palate; nicely handled in the cellar; full and tasty.5
