Château Lagrange is a well-regarded wine estate based in the Saint-Julien appellation of the Haut-Médoc region, north of Bordeaux city on the so-called “left bank” of the Gironde estuary. The estate was classified as a third growth in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc and Graves. Its eponymous grand vin regularly receives high ratings and critical praise.
Tasting notes: Dark color with purple tint on the rim, black cherry, blackcurrant and fresh prune. Powerful and unctuous with a lot of freshness. This vintage seems to be very approachable and well balanced. Tannins are dense and very silky. This amazing wine looks like a blend between the 2009 and the 2016. 2018 is the ultimate generous wine.
