Chateau d’Escurac is in the commune of Civrac-Medoc. One of its special features is its location on a high hill of gravelly soil over a clay subsoil rather than clay limestone as is the case for almost all of the rest of the commune. This remarkable soil explains the unique character of the estate’s wines.
Tasting notes:
Deep garnet-purple colored with baked berries, prunes, dusty earth and cigars on the nose with fried herbs hints. The palate is full-bodied, firm, chewy, hot and hard.
