The Chateau Trotanoy 2004 is a highly regarded Red Bordeaux Blend from the Pomerol appellation in France. While the 2004 vintage is often overshadowed by the legendary 2000 and 2005 years, it is described by critics as an elegant, structured, and “classic” expression of Trotanoy.
Tasting Notes:
- Aromas: Subtle and evolved notes of black raspberries, plums, truffles, and earthy undertones. You may also find developed hints of pipe tobacco, pencil shavings, and cigar box.
- Palate: Deep and complex with flavors of dark cherries, savory oak spice, and a distinct mineral streak.
- Finish: Long and juicy with grippy, fine-grained tannins that have become more “genteel” with age
