The Château Giscours 2019 is widely considered one of the estate’s most precise and balanced vintages, benefiting from the longest harvest in its history and the guidance of consultant Thomas Duclos. It is a Third Growth (Troisième Grand Cru Classé) red wine from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux, France.
- Aging: Matured for 17 months in French oak barrels, with 50% new oak.
- Nose: Intense floral aromatics of violets, lilacs, and roses, alongside fruit notes of black cherry, cassis, and warm plum.
- Palate: Full-bodied yet elegant, featuring dark berry fruit layered with nuances of graphite, cedar, tobacco leaf, and chocolate.
- Texture: Polished and velvety tannins supported by bright, “animating” acidity that keeps the wine fresh despite the heat of the vintage.
