The Vina Almaviva EPU 2019 is the “second wine” from the prestigious Almaviva estate in Puente Alto, Chile—a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro. The name “EPU” means “two” in the indigenous Mapuche language.
- Aromas: Inviting notes of wild raspberry, cassis, and candied black fruits, accented by hints of thyme, tea leaves, and vanilla.
- Palate: Full-bodied and well-balanced with polished, elegant tannins. It features succulent fruit flavors (blackberry and plum) and a creamy, savory finish.
- Aging: Matured for 12 months in second-use French oak barrels.
