Despagne (also known as Vignobles Despagne) is a wine producer based in the commune of Naujan-et-Postiac in the Entre-deux-Mers region of eastern central Bordeaux, producing a range of wines and brands under regional appellations.
Tasting notes:
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of tropical melon, ripe yellow peach, ripe citrus, mango, touch floral honeysuckle. Developed.
On the palate, dry, rounded medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of salty minerality, mango, tropical honeydew melon, ripe yellow peach, ripe citrus lemon. Soft medium+ finish with a bit of cream to round it off.
Very good quality. Very mellow and pleasant white that makes we wonder why I don’t drink more Bordeaux Blanc.
